Drawing in Spain

Seville, Spain

My final class of college was called “Advanced Drawing in Spain”, and it was as much fun as it sounds. To get into this exclusive class you had to have already taken a painting class with the professor Mr. Swider, have gotten an A in that class, and he had to like you. To this day I have no idea how I got in. The total class size was about 10 students. We flew to Seville, Spain, moved into apartments, and did nothing but draw all day every day for a month.

The drawing you see here was my final for that class. Drawn with hand cut bamboo pen, India Ink, and Japanese ink wash for the sky shading.
